  • Co-ordinates Early Career Perspectives Seminar Series
  • Lead Programmes for Early Career Researchers (ECR). Develop and manage initiatives that support ECR and postgraduate cohorts
  • Contributes to CGWG committee meetings and discussions
  • Member, 2026 Conference Organising Committee. Contribute to planning, programme development, and organisational decisions for the 2026 annual conference

Research Interests

Renzo is researching immigration detention in the UK. His current ESRC-funded project centres on Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre in County Durhma, explores how immigration detention sites impact the local communities that surround them and how carceral structures relate to and form localised understandings of place, national identity, race and migration.
